Had my first Shakespeare audition, this week, and I thought it went alright for my first time. It was an open audition so it was a cold read with another actor which we had very little time to prepare for. However, it was definitely a memorable experience because I learned so much in so little time I was there. Special thanks to my friend, Kara, for telling about it because I felt like I walked out of the audition as a better actor.

I had a sick week because for some reason I caught a cold! On top of that, I had really bad allergies and hay fever, but I am feeling much better now. Although I was sick, I still manage to do something productive such as reading more acting books to increase my knowledge. Looking forward to next week and hoping everyone is enjoying the nice weather now.
I recently had a great time at the Victoria cold reading series event called "The First Few Pages." It was definitely a good use of my time as I learned by watching other actors on how they interpret the characters they are given on the spot. I highly recommend all actors, of all levels, to go to a cold reading series event because I believe it is a valuable skill to have and should be part of an actor's toolkit as well. Check out the website, here, and join their Facebook group, here, so you won't miss any future events.
